Cardiac Rehabilitation

What happens in a rehabilitation program?

After enrolling, patients are scheduled for a                                                      consultation with the exercise physiologist. An individually designed program is developed based on the patient’s diagnosis. The exercise program is constantly supervised and monitored in our telemetry unit, and the facilities include treadmills, exercise bikes, hand bikes, step machines and free weights. Cardiac rehabilitation helps patients to make positive lifestyle changes, including the review of healthy eating habits, stress management, helping to improve coping skills, and help with smoking cessation. The overall goal is to help patients                                                          to achieve a more productive, healthy lifestyle.
